Eric is the founder and director of Cascade Training Group, and a lead instructor. He is a professional Fire Captain for the City of Vancouver, WA, Fire Department, with 14 years of fire service experience. He holds credentials as a Nationally Registered Paramedic, Washington State EMS Instructor / Evaluator, NFPA Fire Officer 1 and Safety Officer with an Associates Degree in Fire Protection Technology.
Eric is also a member of Washington’s Region 4 Technical Rescue Team. A retired 21-year veteran of the United States Air Force, Eric has completed several combat deployments as an Air Force Pararescueman in Air Force Special Operations and Air Combat Commands, participating in multiple combat and peacetime Search and Rescue missions locally and around the world. While in the military, Eric was an Air Force Instructor for Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) and performed duties as an Aircrew Flight Instructor / Evaluator, Static Line Jumpmaster and Helicopter Team Leader.
Matt is the Director of Operations and lead instructor for Technical Rescue at Cascade Training Group.
He is a professional Firefighter for the City of Vancouver, WA, Fire Department with over 18 years of fire service experience. He holds credentials as Nationally Registered EMT, NFPA Fire Service Instructor and has degrees in Fire Protection Technology from Portland Community College and Search and Rescue and Survival from the Community College of the Air Force.
Matt is also a founding member and Team Leader for Washington’s Region 4 Technical Rescue Team. He is the Co-author for the Region 4 Technical Rescue Rope Manual. A retired 28-year Veteran of the United States Air Force, Matt has completed several combat deployments as an Air Force Pararescueman in Joint Special Operations, Air Force Special Operations and Air Combat Commands. He’s participated in multiple search and rescue missions around the world including several major natural disasters in the U.S. While in the military, Matt was an Air Force Flight Instructor / Evaluator, and performed duties as a Military Free Fall and Static Line Jumpmaster, Combat Scuba Diver, Dive Medical Technician and a helicopter and fixed wing Team Leader.

Frank is the president of Hazard and Safety Response Solutions LLC. He is a Lead instructor in Hazmat disciplines, Incident management, ICS, target hazard preparedness and a Strategic Partner with Cascade Training Group when needed.
Frank is a Professional Fire Captain with the City of Vancouver, WA, Fire Department with 25 years of fire service experience.
Currently serving as a Training Captain with the responsibility for Special Operations and Academies coordination. Certified as an NFPA Fire Officer 1, 1041a and 1041b instructor, Safety Officer, Federal HAZMAT Technician with chemistry specialist, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, and Advanced Treatment and Trauma Instructor and Southwest Region 4 HAZMAT Tech. Frank has degrees in Telecommunication engineering from Washington State University, and in Fire Protection Technology from Portland Community College. He is currently enrolled in Eastern Oregon University’s Bachelors program for Fire Service Administration.
Ross is the Operations and Training Manager for Cascade Training Group and also an owning member. He is a lead instructor for both Rope and Confined Space Rescue.
He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
Ross is a retired 30-year veteran. He served in both the Army, as a Ranger and Mountaineering Instructor, and in the Air Force, as a Pararescueman and Combat Rescue Officer. He completed several combat deployments and has participated in numerous Search and Rescue missions. His duties included Squadron Training Sergeant, Squadron Director of Operations and as Director of Rescue Coordination Centers overseas. His qualifications have included Aircrew Flight Instructor/Evaluator, Jumpmaster, USAF Rescue Team Leader, EMT-Paramedic and Rope/Confined Space Rescue Technician. He also works as a SPRAT Level-1 Rope Access Technician performing bridge and structure inspections.
Geoff Robbins
Geoff is a Fire Captain with the City of Vancouver, WA, Fire Department with over 21 years in the fire service experience.
He holds an Associates of Science degree in Fire Science from Miramar College and is a Nationally Registered Paramedic.
Geoff is a Team Leader with Washington State’s Region 4 Technical Rescue Team and instructs the team’s Rope Rescue Technician and Confined Space Rescue Academies. He is also a FEMA certified Disaster Medical and Heavy Extrication Specialist. In his early career, Geoff spent 6 years as an Ocean Lifeguard / EMT, on the beaches of San Diego, CA, where he was a team supervisor and boat crew member.
